busy!
Last week's been a bit busy. But in a good way.
The weekend was fun, but full. Saturday was hosting a friend's bday party and sunday was the RennFest. My costume turned out really well!

I was very happy with it. Festival was DRY, Warm and dusty, though.
The week's been full, too. Helped Matthew with a computer purchase Monday night; got my hair cut and ran an errand Tuesday; and helped Matthew troubleshoot a sound issue with the new machine and planted 3 of the trees gifted to us by Jenn and Mark (Thank you!).
Today I may end up working late to finish this silly project that's lingered for MONTHS. It's got a "drop dead due date" by tomorrow.
Oh, and on top of the busy-ness, allergies have been killing me. The doctor visit Tuesday and the new prescription stuff seems to be helping, though.
I'm looking forward to a slow(er) weekend.

Blue...
You're the color blue. You have the three c's in life--you're cool, caring and confident. Trustworthy and honest, people are naturally attracted to you. You're unusually optimistic, but that makes life all the better. You're an imaginative person who loves sleeping and dreaming. Hard-working and determined, you excell in school. You're everybody's favorite, and this is because you have this undefined richness in your personality and attitude. Mild-tempered and stable. Not to mention very intelligent. Along with the fact that you're conservative, you're worried about the environment. So basically, you're a generous, dependable and devoted--just the kind of person everybody needs. Wouldn't it be great if everybody in the world were like you?
What color are you? (Amazingly detailed & accurate--with pics!) brought to you by Quizilla

Defying Gravity
Something has changed within me Something is not the same I'm through with playing by the rules Of someone else's game Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep It's time to trust my instincts Close my eyes and leap!
It's time to try Defying gravity I think I'll try Defying gravity And you can't pull me down!
GLINDA Can't I make you understand? You're having delusions of grandeur
ELPHABA I'm through accepting limits 'Cuz someone says they're so Some things I cannot change But till I try, I'll never know! Too long I've been afraid of Losing love I guess I've lost Well, if that's love It comes at much too high a cost! I'd sooner buy Defying gravity Kiss me goodbye I'm defying gravity And you can't pull me down

Doublet
I keep meaning to post pics of my progress, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
I made amazing progress on the doublet's hand-stitching while at the cabin. I think I've got a couple of hours more of hand-sewing left (whip-stitching seams) once I find time to schedule the remaining machine-sewing. It's going to look really fabulous. I'm glad I trusted M's eye for the details. I was dubious at first, but as it came together I grew increasingly happy with how it looked.
Work....a four-letter word
Ah. Work. After a vacation -- which was fun -- work seems like settling back down into the bit. *pull* *pull* Ow. Yea. *slumps*
But, I feel refreshed. And in about 2 months, I'll be off to Portland for ACNW. The venue is divine, and I'm looking forward to seeing Portland this time 'round.

*STAMP*
I'm now the owner of my first rubber and wood-block stamp:

I, in the least, wanted a stamp that was my "signature". I figure I can still bum the use of stamps that my Friend, the Stamp Lady, has ;)
R-R-R-Red....Alert....
The new building's emergency alarm sounds a LOT like the Enterprice-C's Red Alert Alarm. Weird ;) We had an alarm of some sort. Still unsure if it was a drill or an actual 'situation', but we're back in the building 30 minutes later. Having to evacuate means less work time, eh?
Vacation day tomorrow and Friday. Happy Friday!
Very much looking forward to the trip to the cabin.
