Well it seems like you're already a ring bearer, you don't need the Ruling Ring. Of course, you constantly think of all the things you could do with ultimate power!

I need a sinusoscopy...
It'd be great if I could just remove the damn things about now. One's a waterfall, the other is fortress.
*sighs*
I'm hoping rest and a really hot bath will help.

I feel....Eh.
The cold that hit me Saturday night crested yesterday evening. I'm feeling better - but still really tired. The sore throat is being managed by herbal tea sans throat drops, and the sinus draining thing seems to only occur when I'm lieing down flat.
This will hopefully be gone before the week's end. I can't abide by colds in the middle of summer.

Tarot Quiz
STAR "self-confident, self-esteem" You have a feeling and sense of self-worth. You gain fame for demonstration of your abilities in two very different areas. You are gifted when it comes to intuition, perception, and precognition. THe head of the figure on the card looks to the inner star for guidance and support-- you tend to be fairly introspective.

Wire-less
We're wireless! At least, mostly. We've got a few kinks to work out, but I think I can figure it out.

I'm in!
Blogger hasn't been loading up at work for some reason. It loaded today. So This Means I'm Officially 'back'.
Extended Weekend Recap
Wednesday, July 16: Bank was ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN minutes late, and had incorrect figures on some paperwork. We closed, though, so we don't have to deal with that mess any further. I'm still considering a letter to SOMEONE over there, as I feel I didn't receive good service (or even passable service), and I WORK FOR THE FREAKIN' COMPANY. After close, I started moving fragile stuffs from the Old House to the New House.
Thursday, July 17: My sis came out from Lansing to help out. We moved a few boxes over, and Jarrod's dad came by with the antique dining room set. We stashed that in the basement and headed out to Novi to pick up living room furniture at Jarrod's brother's place. We loaded that up, and met Matthew at the New House to unload the furniture. Thereafter, Pete (jarrod's dad) was ambitious, and we loaded up the truck and trailer with a rather large load of stuff from the old house. Much was accomplished Thursday.
Friday, July 18: I was chained to the new House for most of the day, so I got most of the Kitchen unpacked and the den and tv's set for Comcast to show up. Garage door opener was installed in the morning. I called Comcast after the appointment window had expired to find out that the nice lady I talked to two weeks ago about fixing my appointment from the 8th to the 18th (they had it mixed up from my initial call) had CANCELED the old appointment, and not bothered to reschedule. *sigh*. So, Appointment is for today, Wednesday the 23rd. Appliances showed up at 2, and Jarrod came home shortly thereafter. We started setting more things up.
Saturday, July 19: Move went smoothly. The movers we hired (Three Boys and a Truck) did all the heavy stuff. Matthew and Mike assembled our Kitchen table - which looks really great in that space. Jenn, Mark, Kristen, Liz, Fiona, Chris and Dean showed up during the course of moving to help with various phases in various places. It was really nice to be surrounded by support like that ;) My folks showed up around noon with grandma, who did great work installing blinds. Moving was complete by 2, and we began setting things up in earnest.
Sunday, July 20: We set up some stuff in the morning, focusing on finishing the Kitchen off and getting the living room in some semblance of order. My sister and brother-in-law came over to help, as did Carla and James. Carla and Jarrod came up with a great set-up for the den, so we did a little moving about of furniture. Kris stopped in, but by then we were pretty whipped from the helter-skelter, so we had dinner and just chatted.
Monday and Tuesday: Matthew helped get the Bedroom organized on Monday, and Yesterday was spent getting the Den organized and living room reorganized. The Den is still a wreck - that'll be fixed soon, I hope.
Today!: Comcast is coming by from 1 pm to 5 pm ... and we're shopping tonight for an entertainment center (small) for the den and for a few odds and ends. We also need groceries in a rather desperate way....
All in all ... we're getting there. I've taken two Whirly-Pool baths (ahhhhhh), and that's been helping with the stiff muscles and sore back I've been having since the moving began last Wednesday. I also used the double oven TWICE on Sunday to do dinner preparations - so that's already becoming my favorite new thing about the kitchen.

4:55 pm and indirect confirmation....
Our loan officer called the sales person at our subdivision ... and told her that everything was taken care of. Jarrod was sitting there, waiting for a call from me, so he called me right away.
I still haven't heard from either the manager or our loan officer. Which I think is poor customer service, but I have word via the loan officer through the salesperson over at the sub that everything is fine.
I can't wait to be done with this. T Minus Two Hours!
I'm getting some loose ends wrapped up at work, but my mind is totally 5 hours from now.

*SCREAMS*
It's 4:38 on Tuesday. In about 20.5 hours, we're supposed to sign-sign-sign and finally own the house we've been obsessing about for the last 6 months.
IF the freakin' mortgage company calls me in the next 22 minutes to let me know that we CANclose.
The loan officer and his manager (whom I spoke to about 40 minutes ago) are telling me it is the underwriter on the loan. I don't really care whose fault it is at the moment, I'd just like to know how much to bring with us tomorrow and that we can buy our house tomorrow.
Two seemingly simple requests.

Offensive and degrading...
Received this from a friend in KY today:http://www.klastv.com/Global/story.asp?s=1356380
I didn't believe it until I did a google search.
"Good clean fun" ? I think it's aweful to treat another person like that - period.

Butch Points...
I'm borrowing my sister's truck for the week to help with hauling house stuffs. It's HUGE. Frickin' huge, to be precise. A Big, Green, Ford F-150 4X4 offroad.
I think that earns me at least a few butch points for driving it this week.

Threat rating: High. The Bush administration is concerned that it may not get a second term. Therefore, we are going to change the rules so that each Democrat vote only counts as 0.2 votes because Democrat is a shorter word than Republican

Do This
Try this soon, before Google fixes its site:
1) Go to www.google.com
2) type in (but don't hit return): "weapons of mass destruction"
3) Hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button, instead of the normal "Google search" button
4) read what appears to be a normal error message carefully.

Time Flies
Been busy. Uber-busy. House stuff, packing, homework; work has even been insanely busy. I guess it passes the time faster, though.
Awesome AFDS
I had an awesome session of AFDS. I've constructed this shadow that's intergral to Amber, a sort of Rebma-like place. At least, it's intergral in a sub-plot line. I've also built a character with a unique ability. The shadow is based on a scenario: What if the ancient Greeks, the Athenians, had WON the Pelopenesian war against the Spartans, and flourished?
And Jack - the Master - has written me into a Greek Tragedy. And I had NO clue until last session. NO Clue at all. My mother isn't who I thought, my father isn't who I thought, I've both moved up in the world and down at the same time - I'm not a cousin of the royal family, I'm the youngest and bastard child of the now deceased King of Amber ... via one of Amber's greatest enemies. It was really well executed. I had hints before, which is how any Greek Tragedy works, and then the world crumbles into utter ruin very fast. Which it did. I had some great scenes with Kristen, too.
That, combined with the fact that we spent the entire day - noon until 11 pm - at Jarrod's folk's house on the lake made for a really great day. Good friends, good gaming, good environment.
Walkthrough
Is done. We've pointed out our issues, which are dwindling in number. We close in 9 days. We move in 12 days. Oi ;)
